BODY OVERVIEW:
This F1 wears every year of its age with pride. Rust, dents, and decades-old touch-ups are all part of its story. The sheet metal is original and proudly shows its age—no attempt to hide damage, no gimmicks. If you’re looking for a pristine body, this isn’t it. But if you want authentic old-school cool, and an honest truck, this is the real deal.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:
The paint? Let’s just call it “multi-tone rustic.” Faded, chipped, scratched, and sun-kissed in all the right ways. There’s no clear coat, no perfection, and no pretending. It’s the kind of finish that custom builders try to fake and never quite get right. Mother Nature did the work here, and it simply cannot be replicated.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW:
The inside matches the outside—tired, worn, and full of character–yet somehow still ready to go to work. The seat frame is still sturdy, though the original material has seen better days. A seat cover adds a little comfort for now, and the Champion Spark Plugs door logos are a nod to the truck’s working-class past. It’s not luxurious, but it’s honest.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW:
Under the hood, the legendary Ford Flathead V8 perseveres. It starts easily, runs well, and drives about as well as one could hope for its age and condition, thanks in part to a 12-volt electrical conversion. The 3-speed manual shifts as it should, and all essential lighting functions are operational. Buyers should note that the transmission sometimes pops out of second gear. The truck isn’t ready for cross-country duty, but it’ll happily cruise locally as-is. A C4 automatic transmission and conversion parts are included if you want to go the route of additional comfort.
