HIGHLIGHTS: Southern truck! Nice, custom squarebody Suburban ready to put in work! Great cool custom driver! A/C, 350 ZZ4 crate engine, fresh repaint, lowered, many new parts!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this Suburban is nice and solid, presenting as original sheet metal in good condition. Somehow, it seems to have escaped the violent abuse so many of these trucks suffered. Included in the photos is a picture from before it was painted, showing the original body condition. Recently, a new grille and headlight doors were installed alongside new bumpers and a new windshield as well as new weatherstripping at the rear barn doors. All four power window motors are new as well as the window felts and run channels.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This truck was repainted recently in its original colors, owing a repaint only to the damage done by the sun over time. During the repaint, it was finished in a matte clear coat over top of the original dark blue/tan two-tone paint giving it a mild custom appearance.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior condition is perhaps the most pleasantly surprising aspect of this truck. If you’ve ever owned a squarebody before, you know how these interiors begin to look over time. Although there is some expected wear on the driver’s seat, and the dash is doing what squarebody dashes do, the interior of this truck appears to be mostly original parts, and the interior condition more than anything shows what kind of lifestyle this puppy has been living! The headliner has been recently redone, and a new Sony CD radio has been recently installed, but does not produce sound. Nicer front seats are available, please see photos.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a 350 V8 ZZ4 crate engine that was installed recently. The 350 is hooked up to a rebuilt 700R4 transmission. At the same time as the engine installation, this vehicle was switched to carburetion from the factory fuel injection. Underneath, you’ll find a Flowmaster muffler, Energy Suspension snubbers at front and rear, lowering spindles and a flip kit. The exhaust gives this truck a little bit of rumble, but isn’t too loud and is certainly adequate for daily use. Sitting on a nice set of color-keyed Ridler wheels, this truck is looking great! Other recent mechanical repairs and upgrades include:
