BODY OVERVIEW:
This isn’t grandma’s Dart you drove back in high school. Though the body is largely unmodified, and has that classic Dart look, this car is anything but a regular Dart! The body is clean and straight, a huge plus on any classic Mopar of this era, and appears to be mostly original. Even the underside looks great! Weld wheels and fat Mickey Thompson tires on the back complete the drag-inspired pro-street look.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW:
Finished in Powder White Diamond Pearl, this Dart absolutely glimmers in the sunlight! Though certainly not a factory Dodge color, it makes this thing stand out in the best possible way. This car was painted in 2007, and the paint has held up great over the years, however there are some imperfections that come with age and use including bubbles and light scratches. We have photographed these areas to the best of our ability. Nonetheless, this Dart looks awesome when the light hits and if you’re looking to get down and dirty in a car with some serious power, paint is probably the least of your concerns! Last but not least, a black tail stripe finishes off the pearl paint with some excellent contrast (and a touch of that classic ‘70s Mopar flair!).
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW:
If the outside didn’t make it clear that this is a pro-street vehicle, the inside sure does! From the racing bucket seats to the roll cage to the race-inspired gauge layout, you’ll feel like you’re lining up at the drag strip every time you fire this thing up! A tasteful white aftermarket steering wheel blends well with the exterior color scheme, while the doors, carpet, dash, and seats are black. A variety of Auto Meter gauges tell you just about everything you’d want to know, while a quality Turbo Action Cheetah SCS shifter keeps you in control at all times. Whether you’re going for a quick ride to the local car show, or out for a high-octane “test drive,” this shifter is sure to deliver! Corbeau harnesses combine with the racing buckets for a feeling of security, and a thoughtfully placed battery shutoff behind the driver’s seat adds safety and convenience. Defects are at a minimum, though there is some very minor wear on the driver’s seat bolsters. The fuel pressure gauge lens is a little cloudy, but not unreadable. Overall, especially for a build nearing 20 years of age, the interior presents nicely and is ready to go as-is!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW:
If the looks of this Dart caught your attention, just wait until you hear what it has going on under the hood! Based on a Mopar 400ci big block, the engine is said to have been built to a 451. This Dart has a serious sound to it, but make no mistake–this thing is quiet enough to be enjoyed around town! With four (4!) mufflers, it's clear someone didn’t want to get on their neighbor’s bad side. As an added benefit, from the driver’s seat you still get plenty of great noises, but not the kind that are going to have your ears ringing after going for a joyride. The best thing about this Dart is how manageable it is, while still being ready to spring into action at any moment–all you need to do is put your foot down! Upgrades include an MSD ignition coil, Indy aluminum cylinder heads and intake manifold, aluminum radiator, Mopar Performance valve covers, electric cooling fan, and a 4-barrel Holley carburetor. Other drivetrain features include a Milodon oil pan, Coleman driveshaft, Flowmaster and Hushpower mufflers, and a 727 automatic transmission.
WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR:
• Mopar big block power!
• Street drivable!
• Killer looks and killer stance!
• Not overwhelmingly loud
• Pro-street look!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR:
• Nothing about this car is factory correct–Mopar purists be warned!
• Some may think it is too quiet
• There is no fuel gauge, heat, or A/C
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING?
The reverse lights do not work. There is no heat or A/C installed, in true race car style. This car mostly needs a new owner looking for a good time!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR?
Whether you’re a Mopar enthusiast looking to take your driving experience to the next level, or simply a horsepower addict looking for something manageable that you can still get into plenty of trouble with, this Dart won’t disappoint!
